Richard “Dick” Moe Age 87, of Rice Lake, WI, died Monday, November 13, 2023 in Altoona, WI surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 20, 1935 in Reeve, WI to Norman and Jule (Merth) Moe.

Dick graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1954. He played baseball for the Rice Lake Robins as a pitcher and received scholarships to play college baseball, but he decided to work at Anderson Windows. Dick was married to Ramona Johnson on August 31, 1957 in Turtle Lake, WI. They owned and operated Carpet Town flooring company in Rice Lake for many years. He was a member of the Rice Lake Kiwanis, Rotary Club, Elk’s Club, Lion’s Club and other organizations in town. He was a board member of Rice Lake Utilities and Rice Lake City Council. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Dick was well known for his sense of humor and his wit. He also had many jokes to tell and one liners.

He is survived by 3 daughters; Annie (Troy) Buss, Colleen Miller and Jackie (Scott) Eckstrom; 15 grandchildren, Andy, CJ (Crystal), Cory (Lindsey), Jena (Dusty), Caitlin (Wes), Jacob, Sam (Ashley), Chelsea, Molly (Dusty), Marcus, Eric (Bella), Megan (Tim), Hailey (Alex), Zachary (Ashley) and Karley; 25 great grandchildren, Rando, Aiden, Adrian, Andria, Max, Payton, Ryder, Ivy, Braelynn, Lillian, June, Jayden, Trey, Madison, Emma, Seamus, Finneghan, Braun, Maddy, Karter, Jaxson, Mia, Teddy, Charlie and Olann; a sister, Norma Plenty; a brother-in-law, Arland (Conchita) Johnson; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Moe; his parents, Norman and Jule Moe; a daughter, Lynn Mueller; a grandson, Marcus Miller; a granddaughter, Molly Reul; and grandson-in-law, Wes Vondelinde.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Arthur Bergren officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is serving and assisting the family with the arrangements.
