Richard Charles Smith Age 86, of Barron, WI, died Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Rice Lake.

He was born on April 22, 1935 in Racine, WI to Charles and Lillian (Veech) Smith.

Richard graduated from High School and then entered the United States Army and was discharged as a Corpsman. Richard was married to Elane Barton in Racine, WI. He attended college and received a degree as a LPN and worked in several Hospitals and Nursing Homes.

He is survived by 4 children, Mark (Luanne) Smith of Racine,Terry (Liz) Smith of Racine, Richard Smith of Kenosha, WI and David Smith of Barron; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Valerie and Lee; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elane; 4 children; 2 brothers; and a sister.

A celebration of life will be held from 4-6PM Friday, September 3, 2021 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI.
