In Memory of Richard A. Stanley
Richard A. Stanley, age 67, of Amery, WI passed away on January 15, 2025 with his family by his side.
Rich was born on February 23, 1957 in Alexandria, Virginia. He grew up in West St. Paul, MN and lived in Sandstone, MN for many years before making Amery his home five years ago.
Rich was a huge Harley enthusiast and was very proud of his extensive collection of Harley memorabilia. If it wasn’t a Harley shirt, he wasn’t wearing it. He belonged to many Abate clubs over the years doing volunteer work in different communities in MN. Even though his riding days were long over, he remained a rider at heart.
He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. Even at the toughest times, there was always a laugh to be had.
Rich is survived by his children, Richard (Jenny), Nikki, and Robert, and his grandchildren, Annissa, Devin, Aiden, Emma, Ayron, Maya and Ellie. He is also survived by his sister and best friend, Denise Elling (Jerry), as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends who loved him so much.
We will be forever grateful to the family that so generously donated their loved one’s liver 21 years ago so he could have life. That time was a gift. A special thank you to all the healthcare workers and caregivers out there that do the hard work.
