Renee M. Sorensen, age 66, of St. Cloud, MN passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Talahi Nursing and Rehabilitation in St. Cloud, MN.

Renee Margaret was born October 28, 1953 in Blue Earth, MN the daughter of Herbert “Bud” and Marlene (Ogilvie) Schall.  She was raised in Blue Earth and graduated from high school there in 1972.  She continued her education at a vocational school in Mankato, MN.  Upon her completing her schooling she began a career with Honeywell Industries in Minneapolis, MN.  While working at Honeywell, Renee met James O. Sorensen.  Renee and James were married and lived in Plymouth, MN.  After the birth of her two sons, Renee became a fulltime homemaker.  She was a member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, MN and enjoyed watching movies and cooking. 

Renee is survived by her two sons, Brent and Ryan Sorensen, both of Maple Grove, MN; step daughter, Jamie (Tom) Halstad of Anoka, MN; one grandson with another on the way; three siblings, Laura (Chuck) Brady of Ladysmith, WI, Deborah (Scott) Ankeny of Blue Earth, MN, Doug Schaal of Howard Lake, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and one niece.

A private graveside service was held for Renee at the Spooner Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
