Raymond Garfield Arnevik, age 94, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, January 5, 2025 in Barron, WI.

He was born on December 12, 1930 in Dallas, WI to Garfield and Nina (Blyton) Arnevik. Ray graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1949 and was married to Helen Jane Rasmussen on April 5, 1958 in Campia, WI. He worked for his father in the building moving business and then owned and operated Arnevik Moving Service from 1957-2019. Ray and Helen Jane were outstanding parents and treated their family with unconditional love. He loved going out for coffee every morning, hunt, fish, and enjoyed going to sheep shows, & watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

He is survived by 4 children, Kimberly (Tom) Buchanan, Corinne (Glenn) Hansen, Steven (Kim) Arnevik and Mary (Roger) Jacobsen; 4 grandchildren, Tyler (Yesica) Buchanan, Victoria Arnevik, Dane Jacobsen and Erik Jacobsen; a sister, Patricia (Rob) Thompson; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Jane; a son, John Arnevik; his parents, Garfield and Nina Arnevik; and 2 brothers, Juel Arnevik and Philip Arnevik.

Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Sue Eidahl officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 12:30PM-2PM Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is serving and assisting the family with the arrangements.
