In Memory of Ransom Hubbell

November 1, 1945 - January 8, 2023

Ransom “Rance” Hubbell was born to Almina and Arthur Hubbell November 1st, 1945.

Rance attended Spooner High School, and was an avid athlete until he graduated in 1964, where he went on in life to be a jack of all trades which most of you all know.

Rance worked for LP for most of his life where he retired from. It was then that he and Theresa (Rizzo) decided to purchase what is now Hub’sRiverbend, and have operated for ten plus years. Hub’s was Rance’s baby, and he spent most of his time there making sure all things were running smoothly on a daily basis. He took great pride in their business, and always made sureanyone who came in was welcomed as family. Rance was always seen as invincible, stubborn at times, loving and welcoming to all that met him. If anyone needed anything, he would be there to help them out, no matter what it may have been. Rance enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and family, but we all know he loved to sit and have a “cold one” with everyone.

On January 8th, 2023, Rance passed away peacefully due to a brief illness. He leaves behind his significant other of 37 years Theresa Rizzo, sons Brandon Rizzo (Jessica, Easton, Paisley), Brock Rizzo (Corie, Eloise, and fur baby Bella), daughters Katie Hagen (Jake Hill), Karen Sobralski (Randy, Kim, Jeff), Karla Andre, Kristine Haas, and Sister Mary Cunningham, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, along with many special friends.

Rance is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Almina Hubbell, brothers and sisters William Hubbell, Edwin Hubbell, Roy Hubbell, Evelyn Cariolano, Arthur Hubbell, Leon (Duke) Hubbell, and Irene Michaelson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hub’s Riverbend in Trego, on January 21st, 2023 starting at 2pm. Please come and share your memories of Rance with us.
