In Memory of Randall B. Armsbury

Randall B. Armsbury, age 77, of Hayward, WI passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at his home.

Randall B Armsbury was born February 15, 1946, in Chicago, IL the son of Theodore and Naydene (Benson) Armsbury.

He was raised in Illinois and graduated from high school in Evergreen Park, IL in 1964. He continued his education at DePaul Law School, Millikin University and Middle Tennessee State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Randy began his working career for Continental Casualty Company in Chicago, IL and Reading, PA from 1969 to 1975. He then went on to work for Kemper Insurance Company in Long Grove, IL until 1979. Over Labor Day weekend in 1979, while camping on the Chippewa Flowage Randy found his dream business and purchased Jenks Bait and Tackle in 1980. He operated the business in Hayward, WI from 1980 until his retirement in 2014. Randy enjoyed fishing, astronomy, antiques, and genealogy. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Chippewa Flowage Association, Callahan Lake Association, and long time Secretary of Hayward Guide Service.

Randall is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan; two sons, Randall (Tanya) Armsbury Jr., of Hayward, WI, Bradley (Sarah) Armsbury of Parker, CO; three step-sons, Chirs (Kari) Draganowwski and Louis Draganowski, both of Hayward, WI, Ron (Anne Marie) Draganowski of St. Paul, MN; two grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; sister, Susan (Joe) Murray of Mattoon, IL, brother, Donald (Josephine) Armsbury of Tinley Park, IL; mother of his children, Teri Stanford; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Andrea.

A memorial service will be held for Randall at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Hayward. A time of gathering with family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27th, at the Hayward Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Columbarium in Hayward.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Hayward.
