In Memory of Ralph Chiodo
Ralph Chiodo was reunited with his sweetheart on June 14, 2020. He was born in Cumberland, WI on December 7, 1933 attended Cumberland schools and graduated in 1952. He was the first in his family to go to college and earned a business degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison (On Wisconsin!).
He married the love of his life, Lou Ann, in 1958. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota and practiced law for a few years. After which, he had a long career as a consultant assisting banks and retailers with their market research and site selections.
He was an avid bridge player and earned several levels of life master and loved to help others learn the game. He was also a voracious reader, and probably one of the biggest “customers” of the Cumberland Library. He had a fantastic and quick sense of humor and loved cutting out comics from the paper and say: “hey look, you (insert any family member) made the paper!
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years and son Michael. He is survived by son John (Meg) Chiodo, their son Andy and daughter Sophie, son Paul Chiodo, Mike’s daughters Sarah (Ray) French, and Laura Shaughnessey, as well as great granddaughters, Phoebe French and Maggie French. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Factor, and nieces Carla (Gregg) Kolebuck, Danielle (Joe) Consolini, and Kristen Factor.
A private ceremony will be held and internment at St. Anthony’s cemetery in Cumberland, WI. Memorials preferred to the Thomas St. Angelo Public Library in Cumberland, WI.
