In Memory of Phyllis J. Amundsen
Phyllis J. Amundsen, age 85 of Clear Lake, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at her home.
Phyllis Jean Amundsen was born on January 7, 1939 in Clear Lake, WI the daughter of Edward & Grace (Paulson) Austinson. She grew up in the Clear Lake area and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1957. Phyllis was married to Vernon Amundsen at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Clayton on September 19, 1959. Together they made their home in rural Clear Lake and raised three children, Kimberly, Keith & Michael, while working on the family farm. In her later years she moved to town and worked at the casino until retiring. In her spare time, Phyllis enjoyed her soaps Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives, countless games of scrabble and other games on her iPad. She always enjoyed decorating for the holidays and was also an avid Packer fan. Phyllis was a member of East Immanuel Lutheran Church and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Amundsen; parents, Edward & Grace Austinson; sisters, Beverly Raymond & Carmen Austinson; son in law, Timothy Smith; in laws, Harold and Marjorie Amundsen; sister in law, Kay Amundsen; & brother in law, Harvey Amundsen.

The Memorial Service will be at 1 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at East Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Amery, WI.
Visitation will take place Friday, December 20, 2024 at East Immanuel Lutheran Church from 11 am - 1pm.
The Clergy will be Pastor Hillary Toulson.
Interment will be at East Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
