Peter Suckut, age 69, of rural Clear Lake, WI passed away tragically, doing what he loved, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at his farm in Taylor, WI.

Peter was born on June 5, 1955 in Dortmund, Germany to the late Herbert & Elsa (Dickhaut) Suckut. The family immigrated to St. Paul, Minnesota, United States, when Peter was 5 months old. From St. Paul, they moved to Deer Park, Wisconsin, where Peter attended school in Amery. He was a wrestler, while attending school and graduated Amery High School Class of 1973.

After high school, he worked at filling stations, until he was employed by Doboy in New Richmond, WI. Peter was married to Sally Stoeberl on April, 24, 1976, and together they had 8 children. They later divorced. Peter joined the St. Paul Carpenter’s Union in 1986. He remarried on December 22, 1989 to his loving wife, Kristal (Nandory). They had one child together, and he had also gained a bonus daughter. They made their home first in Taylor, WI, and later moved to Clear Lake, WI.

Peter meddled in farming for years, by milking cows, raising pigs, and raising blue heeler puppies. He retired from the Carpenter’s Union in 2020, after 34 years! Peter had always dreamt of a farm of his own, and he finally achieved that dream, with his grandparents’ homestead farm in Taylor WI, in 2017. He enjoyed working the land farming and gardening. He finally had his own place to deer hunt too, because he taught his kids to hunt on public lands.

His farm, his Fords, and his John Deere Tractors were his pride and joy. And, his grandkids were the twinkle in his eyes! He enjoyed having an annual hayride get-together with family, at his farm. Peter always had many ongoing projects and kept more busy in retirement, than ever before. He was always helping others with their projects too. Peter will be sorely missed by many!

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Elsa Suckut, his father-in-law, Emil Nandory, two of his children, Jacque Jean and Cory Daniel, a niece and 2 nephews.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Kristal; children, Jason Suckut, Joni (Jeremy) Canter, Emily (Joshua) O’Rourke, Kurt Suckut, Brad Suckut, Samara (John) Hernandez, Patrick (Elaine Ullrich) Suckut, Natasha Beck; grandchildren, Jayden Beck, Kolten Brunclik, Haileigh Johnson, Wyatt O’Rourke, Aaron Canter, Arieanna Horton, Tristen Suckut, Grady O’Rourke, Lydia Canter, Elsa O’Rourke, Scarlett Hernandez, and Connor Hernandez; siblings, Lilli (Jeff) Brown, Doris (Mike Ziegler) Suckut, Rolf (Carol) Suckut, Lorri (Brian) Pedersen, Paul (Rhonda) Suckut, Marie (Mike Rheingans) Bohannon, Mona (Arlen) Ziegler, David Suckut; and many, many other family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI.
