Peggy Ann Riebe, 71, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020. She was born December 8, 1948 in Cumberland to Arthur and Marian (Bolin) Fink. Peggy and Roy married in Cumberland where they made their home.

Peggy was a quiet woman who loved reading and crossword puzzles, watching the birds that thronged to her bird feeders, especially the whip-poor-will, and the squirrels that delighted in cheating the birds of their food. She loved indoor animals of all sorts as well, especially dogs and ferrets.

Peggy was chosen as Miss Cumberland as a teenager. As an adult, she was a hairdresser for many years and made great friendships over the years with people she first met as customers. She loved the area and took special delight in time at the family cabin which was always her 'happy place'. In recent years she looked forward to daily visits from family members, especially when Hailey was able to come on a morning visit.

Peggy is survived by one daughter, Tara (John) Steinburg of Cumberland, 2 stepsons: Roy Riebe, III of Barronett and Jeff (Pam) Riebe of Eau Claire; 3 stepdaughters: Theresa Riebe of Pembine/Argonne, Jean (Mike) Secraw of Colfax, and Connie (Bill) Mlejnek of Menomonie, WI and sisters: Nancy (Ron) Lauritsen and Becky (Ken) Grover.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Marian Fink, husband, Roy, and sister Linda Lauritsen.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 6, 2020 from 4-7 PM at Skinner Funeral Home Cumberland and one hour prior to the service. The Funeral Service will be at 11 AM Wednesday October 7, 2020 at St. Paul Lutheran in Cumberland with Pastor John Miels officiating.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
