Pauline Marie Kuznar Born: 10/23/1935 Died: 7/12/2023 Pauline Marie Kuznar, age 87, of Rice Lake, WI, formerly of Birchwood, WI, passed away on July 12.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.

Pauline was born on October 23, 1935, in Clayton, WI, to Michael and Helen (Wurtinger) Moskal.

Her family moved to Ingram when she was 7. Later she moved to Minneapolis and met her future husband, Frank Kuznar, who was playing in a band where she went dancing with friends. On November 26, 1953, she married Frank, and together they raised four daughters and a son while residing in River Falls,Seneca, Neillsville, and Birchwood. While caring for her family, Pauline worked at local resorts, the Birchwood Mill, and The Bunny Bar dance hall/grocery store, which she and Frank owned. She was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Birchwood. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, taking walks, sewing, dancing, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, listening to old-time music, playing cards with friends, and cooking. After retirement, Pauline enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Pauline is survived by 3 daughters: Patricia (Kevin)Turany, Beverly (Gary) Widiker, Diana (Ken) Obermeyer; son, Gary Kuznar (Glenda Erickson) ; son-in-law, Warren Walicki; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Martha Zahrones, 2 brothers, Robert (Mavis) Moskal and Michael (Vivian) Moskal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Frank; her daughter, Barbara; 2 sisters: Helen and Delores; and 2 brothers: Elmer and Alex.

A private family services will be held at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, with interment at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI
