In Memory of Paul Hoff


March 29, 1948 - January 4, 2020

Paul A. Hoff, 71, of Chetek/Cameron, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Meadowbrook Care Center in Chetek.  Paul was born on March 29, 1948 in La Crosse, Wisconsin the son of Lester and Arlene (Midtlein) Hoff.

Paul grew up in Chaseburg WI. He attended Cliffside grade school and Westby High School.  He was President of the Westby FFA in 1965-66.  He attended Agricultural Short Course at UW Madison and then started his career at St. Joseph Equipment in LaCrosse.  He worked as a district rep for Massey Ferguson in South Dakota until 1978.  In 1982 he married Dian and together raised their family.  He worked for various dealerships throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.  He taught Ag Mechanics at WITC in New Richmond and later worked as an air quality inspection technician which gave him the opportunity to travel.  After retirement he worked 10 years for Nuto Farms planting and harvesting corn, potatoes, and soybeans out of Rice Lake WI.   

His hobbies included restoration of I.H. and wheel horse tractors, deer and large animal hunting, researching his family history, planning parties and reunions.  He loved spending time with his friends and family and very proud of them all.  

Paul leaves to celebrate his memory: his wife, Dian Hoff, Chetek/Cameron, WI; daughters: Lory (Keith) Bauer, Viroqua, WI; Jennifer Hoff, Big Lake, MN; Amanda (Ryan) Scheuermann, Montrose, MN and Erica Davis, Big Lake, MN; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, his sister, Patty (Mary Jo) Hoff-Haugen, Chaseburg, WI; brother, James (Rose) Hoff, LaCrosse, WI; numerous, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester A. Hoff and Arlene Hoff-Kapanke and his beloved dog Dozer.

A Celebration of Life for Paul will be held at the Chetek Lutheran Church on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.  Paul’s family will greet visitors at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Please join the family for lunch and continued fellowship in the church basement following the service.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
