In Memory of Paul E. Delaney

March 18, 1966 - January 18, 2024

On January 18th, 2024, Paul Delaney of Rice Lake, Wisconsin passed away in his home at the age of 57.

Paul Eugene Delaney was born to Paul Seekins (Sara) and Cynthia (Brown) Delaney on March 18, 1966, in Reno, Nevada.

The family spent many years in Washington state until Paul eventually joined the United States Navy in 1985. He spent the next 20 years in the military serving his country, where he traveled to many places and made many great friends and eventually met the love of his life Sandy. He was an avid sports fan – especially his Seattle Seahawks! When he retired in March of 2005, they built their dream home in Cibilo, Texas where they remained until Sandy’s passing in March of 2018. When a change was in order, Paul followed his family north to Wisconsin, where he settled in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to live out his remaining years with his beloved little dog Bass.

Paul is survived by his children, Bryana Greene (Thomas) of Conneaut, PA, William Malay (Alyson) of York, PA, and Kaylee Corriea of Chetek, WI, and his stepson Robert Butler III (Evie) of Rio Dell, CA. His granddaughter, Emmalyn Greene. His sisters: Tammy Humphrey (Jason) of Cameron, WI, Angela Seekins of Spanish Springs, NV, and brothers: Mark Delaney of Centralia, WA, and Shane Delaney (Shelly) of Carnation, WA. His nephews/godsons Gabriel Corriea of Altoona, WI, and Jonathan (Chris) Corriea of Eau Claire, WI, his stepfather Vern Delaney (Kris) of Winlock, WA, and many other loved ones near and far.

Paul was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sandy Delaney, his mother Cindy Delaney, his father Paul Seekins, his granddaughter Annabelle Susan, and his sister in-law and brother in-law whom he loved dearly Vivian and Jay Cosgriff.

Paul was an amazing husband, son, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed greatly by so many. But we all rest assured in the fact that he is with his beloved wife and in the arms of his Savior!

A private service and burial with full military honors is planned for early February at The Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner Wisconsin with a Celebration of Life to follow in June of 2024 in San Antonio Texas where Paul and Sandy both called home.
