Paul Charles Carlson, 76, of Barronett died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Shell Lake Health Care Center. He was born September 21, 1943 in Cumberland, WI to Leslie John and Margaret Edith (Gontjes) Carlson. Paul graduated from Cumberland High School, then enlisted in the US Navy and served 4 years, including 3 years on the USS Ozark. He worked a variety of jobs, but most recently worked as a heating plant supervisor for UW - Eau Claire.

He is survived by his sisters: Fern (Wayne) Hagen of Cumberland and Jean (Michael) Galep of Cumberland; his brother, Merle (Rene) Carlson of Spooner; nieces and nephews: Dale (Debbie) Hagen, Dean Hagen, Dawn (Joe) Meyers, Darcy (Lee) Winter, Adrienne (Chet Hagen) Carlson, Michelle Carlson, Leslie Halling, Marta (Corey) Jepperson and John Paul Galep; many great nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

A committal service with full Naval Honors will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Pastor John Miels officiating. Paul had requested no gifts or flowers.
