In Memory of Patricia Walter
Patricia Ann Walter, 66, of Stone Lake, passed away on Friday, March 22nd, surrounded by loved ones.
Pat was born on November 20, 1952 to Keith and Freda Walter. She was raised on the family farm with her two younger brothers, Gary and Jon. After graduating from Hayward High School, Pat went on to study finance at UW-Barron County. Pat worked at Ben Franklin/Zeller's Variety in Spooner for many years where she enjoyed helping customers. During this time, Pat continued to help on the family farm as well. Pat had a strong faith and was very involved in her home church of Stone Lake Wesleyan where she spent many years teaching Sunday School to children, coordinating Wednesday night kids club, and serving in many other capacities. The congregation was family to Pat. Among her many joys in life, Pat loved country music, making fudge, crafting, visiting with family and friends, and laughing. She was generous and thoughtful and continually volunteered in community events.
Pat is survived by her brothers Gary (Darlene) Walter and Jon (Pam) Walter, nephews Bryan (Erin) Walter and Adam (Jenny) Walter, nieces Stacy (Ryan) Wilson and Amy Walter. Pat is preceded in death by her father Keith Walter, mother Freda Walter, and niece Chris Walter. Honorary pallbearers include Pat's great nephews Keith Walter, Levi Walter, Tristan Ozee, Austin Ozee, Beckett Wilson, and Andy Wilson.
A memorial service for Pat will be held on March 27, 2019 at Noon at The Wesleyan Church in Stone Lake. Visitation was 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake.
