Patricia Lue Walborn, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025 at her residence in Hayward, WI. She was born on August 9, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Leona (Leggett) Quick. She was united in marriage to David Walter Walborn on August 8, 1964 in Saylorville, IA.

Pat graduated from Ankeny High School with the class of 1962. She grew up on a family farm where she learned the value of family and hard work. She helped her brother, Gerald with Youth for Christ which helped her become a believer. Pat worked as a cake baker and decorator and loved making special cakes for her family and friends. She had a warm personality and absolutely adored kids. She was everyone’s grandma and was affectionately known as “Grandma Pat” to her church family at Element Church. She worked at the Hayward KOA making food and special treats for the kids and loved Friday night bonfires and helping children make smores. Pat and David enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada together and had the chance to live in Alaska for a summer. She loved traversing the various Alaskan landscapes observing moose and brown bears.

She is survived by her beloved husband, David of Hayward, WI; her children, Jonathan David Walborn of Phoenix, AZ, Brent Alan (Christina) Walborn of Oroville, CA, Josette Diane (Nate) Hildreth of Caledonia, OH and David Walter (Rachelle) Walborn Jr. of Jacksonville, TX; her grandchildren, Alan Walborn, Bradley Walborn, Karissa Walborn, Kendra Hildreth, Lauren Hildreth, Sebastian Walborn, Elijah Walborn, and Fiona Walborn; her extended family, Emily Chapman, Leah Chapman, Mandy Chich and their mother, Amy (Jim) Franckowiak; her sisters, Ellen (Douglas) Smith of Ankeny, IA and Naomi (Richard) Miller of Elizabethtown, PA; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Quick; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her grandson, Dylan Walborn, and her brothers, Gerald and Arnold Quick.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Element Church, 10246 N Greenwood Lane in Hayward, where lunch will be served prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
