In Memory of Patricia Jellen
Patricia “PJ” Jellen, age 70, a resident of Spooner, died at her home on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Patricia Louise Catherine Jellen was born on July 10, 1949, in Athens, Wisconsin to parents Orville and Margaret (Welbes) Anderson. She graduated from Columbus Catholic High School in Marshfield, and was united in marriage to David Jellen on May 3, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. The couple resided in Marshfield for the first couple months of their marriage where she worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. They moved to Spooner in June of 1969, and after the birth of their daughter, she began a 24 year career at the Spooner Hospital spending most of that time in the Business Office. After leaving the Hospital, she went to work at Holiday Gas Station where she was an Assistant Manager, and later Manager. After 9 years of working at Holiday, she retired due to health reasons. Patricia was also the Town of Evergreen Secretary/ Treasurer for several years. In the off time, she enjoyed many years as a league bowler and annual fishing trips to Canada. Living in Packer land she was a staunch Vikings fan.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 50 years- David, daughter Sara (Gino) Wingard of South Carolina, son Joe (Krystal) Jellen of Hawaii, 2 grandsons Jake and Josh Gilberg, brother Gary (Mary) Anderson of Marshfield, WI, and sister Linda (Dennis) Immerfall of Marshfield, WI.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, and infant son Anthony in 1973.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 1pm, at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner with Fr. Phillip Juza as Celebrant. Visitation will be on Thursday, from noon until 1pm, at the Church. Interment will be at the Madge Evergreen Cemetery.
