Nina Angela Disimone Age 65, of Birchwood, WI, died peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 4, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Edward and Bernadette (Contreras) Sypien.

Nina attended Tuley/Roberto Clemente High School in Chicago and then attended and graduated from WITC to become a nursing assistant in 1994. She was also involved in the ROTC. She enjoyed crocheting, loved watching the Chicago Bears and was full of life.

She is survived by 4 children, Angela (Edwin) Rebak, Chris Koonce, Greg Hayes and Dominic Disimone (Rebecca); 4 grandchildren, Alex (Zane), Kyle, Amy and Haeven; 2 sisters, Rita (Arthur) Hernandez and Anna Mendoza; 2 brothers, Edward (Jackie) and Leonard (Barbara) Sypien; 5 nieces and nephews, Nicole Flint, Anthony Sypien, Bryan Sypien, Phil Toledo and Arthur Mendoza; many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Bernadette Sypien.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Birchwood, WI, Father Isaiah Schick officiating, with interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is serving and assisting the family with the arrangements.
