In Memory of Nancy K. Litwiller


June 25, 1940 - March 15, 2023

Nancy Kay Studt Litwiller was born to Merle and Mildred (Brzak) Studt on June 25, 1940, in Ashley, Michigan.

She quietly went to her eternal reward on March 15, 2023, at her home in Barron, Wisconsin.

She received her formal education in an Ashley school. On December 28, 1957, she was united in marriage to Arden Litwiller. They shared the joys and sorrows of life for sixty-five years.

Mom felt the need of a Savior, accepted God’s forgiveness, and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite on February 20, 1960, by Minister Newell Litwiller. She remained faithful to her vows until the end.

Dad and Mom moved to Barron from Michigan in 1970, where they settled on a dairy farm. She milked cows and helped where she could.  Mom liked people, and she enjoyed having company. She loved having her children and grandchildren over, and she looked forward to Grandpa night. She liked outdoor meals and sitting around a fire in the evening.  Mom loved flowers, and she always liked to have a fresh bouquet. Mom delivered Meals on Wheels in the Barron area for thirty-five years.

Those left with special memories are her husband Arden, Children - Kim & Mary Litwiller, Barron; Brenda Nichols, DeSmet, South Dakota; Wendell & Shelley Litwiller, Barron; Jennifer & Kendall Smith, Dalhart, Texas; and Jessica & Jeff Johnson, Del Norte, Colorado. Twenty six grandchildren and forty six great grandchildren. Sisters - Pat and Elmer Freed, Beverly Jelinek, and sister in law Joan Howes. Arden’s siblings - Burneda & Enos Coblentz, Gwen & Willard Toews, Norman & Nancy Litwiller, and Nolan & Judy Litwiller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and two brothers in law. Sons in law - Ed Litwiller and Roger Nichols and one great grandson.

A funeral service for Nancy Litwiller will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Barron Mennonite Church in Barron. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday evening, March 19, 2023 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday morning. Burial will be at the Barron Mennonite Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
