In Memory of Nancy D Bixby

Nancy Dian Bixby, 74, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was born on April 16, 1942 in Spooner to parents Donald and June (Keller) Carlton.  Nancy has lived her entire lifetime in the Spooner area.  Nancy is survived by her husband, Bud Bixby of Spooner, a daughter Carrie (Phil) Miller of Spooner, and two sons, Wade Bixby of Spooner and Cory Bixby (Meggan) of Bloomer, and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Losey of Belleville, MI and a brother, Reggie (Rhonda) Carlton of Spooner, WI.   She was preceded in death by a brother, Warren, son-in-law Joe Chiles, and her parents, Donald and June Carlton. Nancy was employed by the Spooner Health System as a medical records transcriptionist for 47 years.

Nancy has been an active member of the Spooner Church of the Nazarene for her entire lifetime. She was a gifted musician. She will be remembered by all for her generosity, hospitality, and friendship. 

Services will include a visitation on Thursday evening, Feb. 23, at the Spooner Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. at the Spooner Church of the Nazarene.  Interment will be in the Spooner cemetery.  A luncheon will be served at the Wesleyan Fellowship Hall in Spooner following the service.

Pallbearers will be Don Hirst, Paul Keller, Kyle Carlton, Colin Carlton, Dan Carlton and Andrew Carlton. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Spooner Funeral Home.
