Myrtle L. Peschong, age 91, of Markville, MN, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2019.

Myrtle was born on September 23, 1928, in Callaway Co., MO, to parents, Florence (Reynolds) and William Weller.

On July 21, 1947, Myrtle was united in marriage to Gordy (Francis) Peschong. Myrtle was a devoted and loving homemaker to her 11 children. She liked to spend time outdoors bird watching, berry picking and taking pictures of the wildlife. She was also known for singing while mowing the lawn and her beautiful flower gardens. She was an avid baker and loved to can various foods and vegetables. She also greatly enjoyed her yearly trips to Vegas to play slots while sipping her beverage of choice, a Windsor Seven. Above all else, Myrtle loved to spend time with her husband and beloved dog Pedro, children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; stepfather, Cornelius Rens; loving husband of 73 years, Gordy; infant son, Darryl; children: Daniel Peschong and Lynn Peschong; sister, Emma Schake, Flosy Reynolds Sanaker, Isabelle Weller Folkens, Mary Veflin; brothers, Robert Weller and John Weller.

Myrtle is survived by children: Donald Peschong, David (Sharon) Peschong, Dennis (Paula) Peschong, Darwin Peschong, Duane Peschong, Douglas (Nancy) Peschong, Pam (Chuck) Peters, Richard Peschong and Darrick Sweats (Brittany); 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;  1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Martha Schake and Gladys Weller Cairns.

A Celebration of Life Gathering honoring both Myrtle and Gordy will be held on November 11, 2019 beginning at 1:00pm at the Fishbowl Bar in Danbury.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster.
