In Memory of Miriam Rischmiller


October 27, 1928 - June 17, 2020

Miriam C. Rischmiller (nee Edwards) of Amery. WI (formerly of Edina, MN) passed away peacefully at age 91.

Miriam, known as Mim, is survived by children John (Kris) of Chaska, MN and Sue (Steve) Stewart of Amery, WI.  In addition, she has four grandchildren and a great grandchild:  Andy & Brittany Stewart and daughter Zoey, Kelly Stewart, and Erik and Ingrid Rischmiller.

Mim was born on 10-27-1928 in Alcester, SD to Pastor David and Mabel Edwards. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN in 1950 with a degree in music.  She taught music in Theif River Falls, MN for some time.  She married Ralf Rischmiller, whom she met at Gustavus, in 1952.  They had two children, John & Sue.  Mim raised her kids at home then returned to the workforce at the Toro Company.  She was an executive secretary for over 27 years and retired at the age of 77 in 2006.  Shortly thereafter, she moved to Amery, WI to enjoy retirement.  Mim enjoyed time with family, travels, and especially keeping up with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ralf, of 38 years.

Due to Coronavirus pandemic limitations, a private family service will be held at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis in Monday, July 6th followed by interment at Ft. Snelling.
