In Memory of Milton Anderson
Milton Anderson died May 13, 2020 at his home in West Sweden, Wisconsin at 92. The son of Edward and Violet (Johnson) Anderson, he was born July 26, 1927 in Frederic, Wisconsin and grew up in the West Sweden area. He worked as a carpenter and in construction for various employers and for the St. Paul School system.
On December 20, 1952 he married Renata Gensmer and moved to Waukegan, Illinois, then moved to St. Paul, living there until his retirement in 1989. In 1971 he purchased a property in West Sweden and moved there after retirement to a home he built there. Milton was a talented cabinet and furniture maker, and he also contributed his skills to a number of projects at Grace Lutheran Church in West Sweden.
He is survived by children, Brian (Nancy Roth) of Dellwood, MN, Keryl Huerkes (Rick) in the Washington D.C. area, Bruce (Susan) of St. Paul, and Brad (Beth) of St. Paul; grandchildren, Justin, Colin, Brett, Dillon and Wyatt Anderson; and five great-grandchildren. Milton was preceded in death by brothers, Gordon, Irving, and Kermit, and sister, Marion; parents, Edward and Violet; and uncles, Adolph and Paul.
He will be buried in a private service in West Sweden with a memorial service to follow at a future date. The family requests that any memorials be contributed to Grace Lutheran Church.
