In Memory of Milo L. Jones
Milo L. Jones, age 87, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Dove Healthcare in Rice Lake, WI.
He was born in Crawford County, Wisconsin on March 3, 1935, to Gladys (Silbaugh) and Edward Jones.
Milo was married to Anna Russell at St. Barnabas in Mazomanie, Wi, 68 years ago on November 20, 1954. Together they raised 6 children.
Survived by his wife, Anna, along with 5 children: Gary (Mary), Bryan (Marilyn), Debra (Dave Menser), Steve, and Mark (Connie); 4 siblings - John (Julie) Derrickson, Jaimie (Tracy) Jones, Jaana White, and Judy (Chuck) Piper; 12 grandchildren: Chuck (Melissa) Jones, Greg (Danielle) Jones, Jason Jones, Colleen Ford, Mitch Ford, Jeremy Jones, Josh (Anne) Jones, Michael Menser, Holly Menser (Josh Fiechter), Crystal Jones, Rachael (aka: Rocky) Jones, and Emily (aka: Bear) Jones; 8 great grandchildren: Aydyn, Dylan, Ava, Jaida, Gianna, Jared, Sora, and Nolan; and countless extended family.
Preceded in death by parents, son, Bart, and brother, Jody.
Milo served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. After retiring from Byrd Trucking, he settled into their home on Long Lake in Wisconsin where he could be found sitting on the dock fishing or in his garage greeting those walking by with a story or two.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2022, at the Spooner Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Lunch, with “Milo” stories and laughter, to be served at the Rockford House immediately following the service.
