Michael (Mike) Troy Minteer, Sr. (age 58) was reported missing on Thursday, September 8th. The following Thursday he was found dead. Mike struggled with his bipolar diagnosis for years before succumbing to depression by suicide.

Mike was born June 29, 1964 in Rock Island, IL to Marsha and Calvin Minteer.

The family moved to Turtle Lake, WI in 1972 where Mike lived until graduating high school when he joined the Marine Corps. On March 10, 1984 Mike married Connie Outcalt. The two of them had four children - Michael Jr, Mitchell, Martin, and Marcus. The family moved many times, returning back to the Turtle Lake area at various times, ultimately setting back down in Turtle Lake again in 2020. Mike held various jobs throughout his life: farming, trucking, construction, and running his own business. He ultimately sold and then retired from his road dust control business in 2017. While living in Turtle Lake, Mike and family were active in Cumberland Baptist Church.

Mike is preceded in death by his father Calvin and stepfather Donald Swank. He is survived by his children Michael Jr, Mitchell, Martin, and Marcus (Rachael), his wife Connie, his brothers Calvin (Betty) and Edward, his sisters Donna and Debbie, and his mother Marsha.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, September 23rd at the Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake, WI. The memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 24th at Cumberland Baptist Church in Cumberland, WI.
