Michelle Ann Dietrich, 59, of Turtle Lake passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2024, at her home.

She was born February 18, 1964, in St. Paul, MN to John and Mildred (Lorch) Nick. She was married in Las Vegas, NV on April 21, 1995, to Mitchell “Mitch” Dietrich. Michelle worked as the Director of the Preschool Playhouse in Turtle Lake for 34 years. She also organized the Turtle Trot which was popular in the community.

Michelle was the most loving, compassionate, and tender hearted woman. She was the best wife a man could ask for; Michelle was Mitch’s biggest helper. She had a heart to serve those around her. It was not uncommon for her to drop everything if her family or friends needed something.

In her free time Michelle enjoyed pontooning, camping, scrap-booking, traveling, both foreign and domestic, walks on the beach, bonfires, reading, puzzles, and doing all kinds of crafting.

The effect of Michelle’s love and kindness has made an impact on countless lives over the years and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mitch of Turtle Lake; children: Mariah Ann, and Matthew David of Turtle Lake; mother, Millie Peters; brother, Randy (Lorri) Nick; nieces and nephews: Chris (Cindy) Dietrich, Derek Dietrich, Sean Dietrich, Rece Dietrich, Madison Dietrich, and Connor Dietrich; great nephews: Caden and Cody Dietrich; and many dear friends. Michelle was preceded in death by her father, John Nick.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Skinner Funeral Home, Turtle Lake.
