Maryann Hanson, age 79, of Superior, WI, passed away on November 9, 2022, St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

She was born on April 27, 1943, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Robert and Mollie (Starkel) Bulloch.

She was united in marriage to Willard Mansford Hanson on August 11, 1961, in Shell Lake, WI.

Family was always most important to Maryann. She loved family gatherings and cooking for everyone. She enjoyed fishing and going to a good Northwoods Friday night fish fry. Maryann liked music, dancing, jewelry and getting all dressed up in everything that shined. She had a good heart and a kind soul and a deep appreciation for plants and animals.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (William) Albano of Bennett, WI, Cheryl (Kenneth “Henry) Loken of Gordon, WI, Randall “Randy” (Elizabeth) Hanson of Solon Springs, WI, and Mollie (Michael) Maruca of Solon Springs, WI; her grandchildren, April (Jamie ) Reinke, Tonya (Dan) Peterson, Billy (Whitney) Albano, Jennifer (Darrell) Taylor, Brooke (Greg) Wickersham, Michael (Amanda) Maruca, Mandi (Jacob) Payne, Lillie Loken, and Nikki Loken; her great-grandchildren, Grayce, Trent, Hunter, Adleigh, Granger, Shyloh, Lyric, Brooklyn, Michael, Cameron, Dawson, and Corbin; her brother, William Bulloch; her beloved dog, Remi; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Maryann is preceded in death by her loving husband, Willard, and her brother, Robert Bulloch.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tonya for all the wonderful special care she gave to her grandmother.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Wascott Cemetery in Wascott, WI. A gathering will follow at the Wascott Town Hall.
