Mary T. Kohanski, age 76, of Stone Lake, WI passed away on Monday, December 11th, 2023, at Essentia-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Mary Theresa was born in Philadelphia County, PA, the daughter of Francis and Catherine (Lex) Mullen.

She was raised in the Philadelphia area and graduated from West Catholic Girls High School. After high school Mary worked as a secretary for an orthopedics company for several years. On June 16, 1973, Mary was joined in marriage to Thomas E. Kohanski in Havertown, PA. Thomas’ work took him all over the country and he and Mary would call 13 different states home including Iowa, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Illinois. While living in these areas, Mary would find a job in secretarial work. While on a vacation in 1977, Mary and Tom found a piece of land in Stone Lake, WI where they would eventually build a cabin. After Mary and Tom’s retirement, they made their Stone Lake Cabin their permanent home. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed all of her friends, especially her “Lucy” group.

Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tom; three siblings, Kathleen Triboletti, Patrick Mullen, Margaret (Jim) Metz; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Francis Mullen.

A private prayer service will be held for Mary.
