Mary J. Sterzbach, age 92, formerly of Barron, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Cambridge Assisted Living in Rice Lake.

Mary was born December 11, 1927 to Loyd and Inez Sterzbach in Northwood, Iowa.  She retired as an Assistant Vice President from the Trust Department at Norwest Bank in Minneapolis after working there for 31 years.  She then moved to Barron in 1993.

Mary was an active member of Prairie Lake Covenant Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of many friends. 

Mary is survived by her sister, Marlene (Larry) Fornell; brother, Allan (Judith) Kurschner; sisters-in-law, Gloria and Nancy Kurschner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rodney, Byron and Maurice Kurschner, sisters, Marjorie Kurschner and Eleanor Perry; brother-in-law, O.H. Perry; and a nephew, Richard Perry.

Funeral Services for Mary Sterzbach will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prairie Lake Covenant Church in Chetek with Pastor Scott Christensen officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday morning.  Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Prairie Lake Covenant Church, or donor’s charity of their choice.
