In Memory of Mary L. Conroy

September 29, 1950 - June 6, 2023

Mary Conroy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 6th, 2023. She lived a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Born on September 29th, 1950, in Fosston, Minnesota, Mary was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Myszkowski. On June 21st, 1975, Mary married Craig Conroy, in Webster, Wisconsin. Their union was blessed with 48 wonderful years together, creating a lifetime of cherished memories.

Mary was a devoted mother to her children, Aaron and Katie, providing them with endless love, support, and guidance. She took great pride in their accomplishments and stood by their side through all of life's triumphs and challenges. The arrival of her beloved grandson, Wyatt, brought immeasurable joy to Mary's life, and she treasured every moment spent with him.

For 40 years, Mary dedicated her professional life to educating young minds as an elementary school teacher in the Webster School District. Her passion for teaching touched the lives of countless students, leaving a lasting impact on their education and personal growth. Even after her retirement, Mary continued to share her knowledge and love for teaching as a substitute teacher. She also devoted her time and energy to volunteering within the district, making a difference in the lives of students and staff.

Mary had a wide range of interests that brought her great joy. She was an avid sports enthusiast, passionately cheering on the teams and individuals from Webster High School and, of course, the Green Bay Packers (Go Pack Go!). Mary's green thumb was well-known, as her deck was always adorned with an array of vibrant flowers as soon as the snow melted. She also found solace and creativity in sewing, capturing precious moments through photography, and baking delicious treats. Her pies were worthy of lore and legend.

Mary Conroy will be remembered as a woman of unwavering strength, kindness, and generosity. Her genuine love for her family, her dedication to education, and her vibrant passions will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate to have known her.

Mary is survived by her husband, Craig Conroy; her children, Aaron Conroy and Katie (Mark) Herrboldt; her cherished grandson, Wyatt Herrboldt; her sister, Ann Drazenovich; her sister-in-law, Patricia Trott; and her brothers-in-law, Clare Conroy and Charles Conroy; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13th from 1-3 pm with a service to follow at 3 pm at Swedberg-Taylor funeral home, where friends and family can gather to celebrate Mary's remarkable life and bid her a heartfelt farewell. In lieu of flowers (she left SO MANY flowers), the family kindly requests donations be made to the Webster Education Foundation in Mary's honor.

Though Mary's physical presence may be gone, her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the memories she created.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
