June 10, 1946 - July 3, 2017

Mary Katherine Jensen, age 71, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at her residence in Spooner, WI.  She was born June 10, 1946 in Lake City, MN, the daughter of Hans Philip and Elaine Lucille (Schnoeblen) Nelsen. 

Mary worked as a Registered Nurse and caregiver at several hospitals and nursing homes throughout her career.  She was a faithful member of the Spooner Baptist Church and always looked forward to meeting up with the coffee club.  She enjoyed photography, gardening and fishing.

She is survived by her children, Teresa (Jim) Kruizenga of Hudson, WI, John (Rhonda) Jensen of Ellsworth, WI and  Michelle (Scott) Pettee of New Richmond, WI; her grandchildren, Katie Kruizenga, Ryan (Laura) Kruizenga, Kyle (Brielle) Anfinson, Nathan (Jenny) Anfinson, Kirsten Kruizenga; Michael Jensen, Olivia Jensen, Michelle (Mitch) Elmgren, Sean Pettee and Tesia Pettee; her great-grandchildren, Adrian Anfinson, Austin Anfinson, R.J. Kruizenga, Cameron Kruizenga and one more expected soon; her siblings, Eileen Nelsen of Hudson, WI, Jim Nelsen of New Richmond, WI, Kathy (Greg) Moyer of Turtle Lake, WI, Joe (Kathy) Nelsen of Elk Mound, WI, and Leannē (Russ) Charlton of Elgin, AZ; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Nelsen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Spooner Baptist Church, W7135 Green Valley Road in Spooner, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Spooner Baptist Church.
