In Memory of Mary Jo Ann Bour

June 4, 1958 - January 20, 2024

Jo grew close to God and now she is able to spend eternity with God in Heaven. One of the special things we experienced was her holding our hands and she gave us the biggest hand tug when we said how much Jesus loves you and she loves Jesus and how happy you are to see Him eye to eye.

Born June 4, 1958 to Robert “Bob” and Jo Ann “Jo” Bour (Leithauser). She grew up on St Paul’s Eastside’s Fremont Street, attending St. Johns grade school and Harding High School. She brought her daughter Jamie into the world, and she was the love of her life. In ’95 she married her farmer from North Dakota. Then came her grandchildren Jake and Taylor “mimi” who she was able to spoil on every holiday. Jo spent a lot of time in Cumberland throughout her life as her parents had a place on Kidney Lake since the late ‘70’s. Jo and her husband Tom built a new place on the same lot and moved there in 2017. She was an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic church in Almena, WI.

Working in the banking industry her entire life with Commercial State Bank, First Star, American Investors Bank, Jennings State Bank, retiring from Wells Fargo in November of 2022. During her career she developed many loyal, long-lasting relationships which continued right up to the end of her life.

Jo was free-spirited, was a gifted artist, enjoyed nature, taking it all in with her flowes, hummingbird and oriole feeders. One of her favorite moments was at the Getty in Los Angeles where she was able to view some of her favorite artists’ originals. When vacationing in a warm climate she would always ask if the trip could be extended. There were many bucket list places she did not make to that her family will bring her presence to.

Jo is preceded by her parents Robert “Bob” and Jo Ann “Jo” Bour (Leithauser). Survived by Husband Tom Moch, Daughter Jamie Nelson (Tom), Grandchildren Taylor and Jakob, Sister Tia Clark (Tom), Nieces Katie Haugerud (Adam) Ashley Emig (Andrew) Dana Kasper (Brandon) Grand Nieces Addison, Miriam, Joanna Grand Nephew Robert and her Red Heeler Dodge.

In lieu of flower donations to the Pregnancy Center in Rice Lake, WI or the Scleroderma Foundation on her behalf are preferred. Jo needed transfusions while at the hospital. If you are able to donate blood it would be appreciated.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Almena, WI with Father Jaynna Kanna officiating. Burial will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday, January 29, 2024, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland with a rosary beginning at 6:30 PM.
