In Memory of Mary J. Leschisin

August 9, 1936 - December 4, 2024

Mary Jane Leschisin, age 88, of Clayton passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Amery Regional Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1936 in Almena, WI to Herman and Elizabeth (Becker) Blechinger.

Jane was married in The Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Almena on September 1, 1956 to William Leschisin, who preceded her in death on December 8, 2018.

There was much to love about Jane, but her active involvement in her family members' lives was top of the list. She was what you might call a "professional" grandma, always in attendance for their games and extracurricular activities, and truly happy to be there. In addition to cheering on her kids, she found much joy in quilting, and watching nature - whether it be her beloved birds or swans, or even the less favorable critters, like the pesky red squirrels. Her care and time also extended to her vegetable and flower gardens, which were both bountiful and beautiful. Jane also was the treasurer of Clayton Township for many years. Last, but certainly not least, she was a woman of great faith.

Jane will be deeply missed, but live on in the hearts of many, including her six children, Doug (Connie) Leschisin of Eden, SD, David (Denise) Leschisin of Clayton, Greg (Debbie) Leschisin of Clayton, Brenda (Tom) Grosskreutz of Clear Lake, Beth (Ritchie) Narges of Cumberland and Bonnie (Steve) Karo of Punta Gorda, FL; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, William; sisters, Barbara (Paul) Etlicher, Pat (Lloyd) Hoffman; and brother, Joseph Blechinger.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Turtle Lake with Father Jayana Kanna officiating. Interment St. Ann Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are Kevin Grosskreutz, Cory Reindahl, Joe Leschisin, Riley Walz, Alex Leschisin, and Rhonda Mullin.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Monday December 9, 2024, at Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake, and one hour before the service on Tuesday at church.
