July 10, 1940 - November 29, 2022

Mary Ann Henrich Age 82, of Rice Lake, WI, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Marshfield, WI.

She was born on July 10, 1940 in Rice Lake to Wilbur and Ann (Leuthner) Henrich.

Mary Ann graduated from the Rice Lake High School, Barron County Teachers College and the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She taught in Bruce, WI for 2 years, Cameron, WI for 3 years and Rice Lake, WI for 34 years. Mary Ann retired in 2000 from Franklin School as a 3rd grade teacher for the Rice Lake School District. After retirement she wintered in Orange Beach, Alabama and also worked for Home Spun Tours for 18 years as a tour guide. She enjoyed teaching and loved to travel from coast to coast in the United States and in Canada. Mary Anne was a wonderful teacher with the most beautiful penmanship you have ever seen. If you were lucky enough to have her as a teacher at Christmas she would give her students a brand new book. Mary Ann made every student feel equal and loved. Mary Ann followed many of her students through their lives attending graduations, weddings and the birth of their children. She was a very classy woman with a closet to die for and she wouldn't be caught with a hair out of place or her nails unpainted. People who traveled with her have nothing but wonderful stories to tell. She knew everything about every place she traveled to. She enjoyed Wednesday morning coffee group, played 500 at the Rice Lake Senior Center and liked all other card games, went out for weekly Friday Night Fish Fry, enjoyed music especially when it involved family members and Music in the Park. Mary Ann was very active in St. Joseph Catholic Church and proud of her catholic faith. She was the only child and took wonderful care of her parents, grandparents and Walt Zimmer until they all passed away.

She is survived by the love of her life Dave Huset - and his family: Brian, Denise and Dawn; the Zimmer Families - Douglas (Peggy), Daniel (Mary) and David (Marcia); many friends including, Kim Haynie and the Darrin and Holly Thompson Family.
