In Memory of Mary Ann Davisson
Mary Ann Egan Dorich Davisson, 78, of Kenosha and Couderay, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on July 22, 2019.
She was born on October 10, 1940 to John and Mary Egan and was raised on the north side of Chicago. Her parents ran a well known tavern, Egan's, where friends from the area would pass the time and share stories. Mary Ann’s friendly and warm personality was loved and appreciated by everyone who met her and after her parent’s passing, she successfully managed and ran the place for many years.
She married Larry Dorich in 1960 after meeting and falling in love with him as a teenager. They had three daughters, Christine, Julie and Rita. She later married James Davisson and had two boys, James and John. While raising five children, Mary Ann helped countless people find new homes as a knowledgeable and capable realtor.
Mary Ann’s ties to her parents and their summer cottage on Blueberry Lake were unbreakable and everlasting. Always happiest there, she would welcome her entire family and their friends for fun filled visits. Later, as her family grew, she hosted large gatherings where the tiny home was filled to capacity and tents were pitched outside to accommodate everyone.
Mary Ann’s upbeat attitude and infectious laugh always made her the life of the party.
Recently she reconnected with Larry and they became constant companions again, reminiscing, enjoying Northern Wisconsin and taking care of one another.
Mary Ann was a beautiful, tolerant, open minded lady who made everyone around her feel special. She lived and loved without judgment and taught those around her to do the same.
Mary Ann is survived by five children - Christine (Stephen) Kuchera, Julie (Daniel) Reiser, Rita (James) Runyard, James (Susan) Davisson, and John Davisson. Thirteen Grandchildren - Stephen (Wendi) Kuchera, Michael (Teagan) Kuchera, John Kuchera, Kristina (Eric) Bjorkman, Rebecca and Grace Reiser, Jonathon (Hannah) Runyard, Matt and Tom Runyard, Collin and Gavin Davisson, Allison Armstrong, Kara Baker and Carmen Davisson. Two Great Grandchildren, Bryce and Kaylee Bjorkman.
