Mary Anne Stark, 75, of Turtle Lake died Saturday, January 20, 2024, at her home.

She was born January 5, 1949, in Mott, ND to Peter and Margaret (Ernst) Stadem.

She attended Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, where she met the love of her life, Thomas Stark, whom she married on March 18, 1967. During their time together, they lived and worked in New Jersey, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota, eventually retiring to Horseshoe Lake northeast of Turtle Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Tom of Turtle Lake; sons: Matthew (Janice) Stark of St. Paul, MN, and Chris Stark of Turtle Lake; grandchildren: Deanna (Tyler) VanZuilen of Rosemount, MN, Natalie Stark of Rochester, MN, and Lydia Stark of Minneapolis, MN; two great-grandsons, Joel VanZuilen and Odin Brogren; siblings: Carol (the late Sid) Haug of Richfield, MN, Sara (James) Heim of Brainerd, MN, Richard "Dean" (Cyndy) Stadem of Apple Valley, MN, Steven (Theresa) Stadem of Eden Prairie, MN, and Mark (Patty) Stadem of Bloomington, MN; sister-in-law, Vonnie Stadem of Chaska, MN; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert; and sisters, Maxine and Alinor (Robert).

A Celebration of Mary's life will be held at Tom and Mary's House later this year. Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake is serving the family.
