Mary Ann Jilek Age 83, of Milwaukee, WI, formerly of Birchwood, WI died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in Wauwatosa, WI.

She was born on February 8, 1941 in Rice Lake, WI to Charles and Marie (Janosik) Jilek.

Mary Ann graduated from High School and then graduated from UW Superior in Elementary Education. She lived in Waukesha for a few years, moved to Kansas for 5 years and moved back to Wisconsin in 1986. Mary Ann taught 2nd grade elementary children, substituted and tutored for many years and also worked for Stein’s greenhouse for many years decorating and making crafts. She loved traveling, reading, buying Christmas ornaments and bought books for all of her nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann is survived by her brother Larry Jilek, brother- in-law Russell Kemp, 5 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews and 23 great, great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Bernice Kemp, brothers Charles and Albert Jilek and nephew Greg Kemp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, April 20, 2024 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Father Joseph Kumar officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
