Marvin W. Meyer, age 69, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.

Marvin was born in Rice Lake to Clarence and Shirley (Miller) Meyer and raised in Ridgeland.

He graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1970. He met Vickie (Flug) at the Barron County fair and they later married on November 13, 1971.

Together, they raised two children, Jason (Tanya) Flug and Jennifer Meyer. Marvin owned and operated his own trucking business for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping; as well as spending time with family and friends. Marvin is survived by his wife, Vickie Meyer of Dallas; son, Jason (Tanya) Flug of Cassopolis, MI; daughter, Jennifer Meyer of Chippewa Falls; 3 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; and many great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Bonnie) Meyer of Dallas and Greg Meyer of Eau Claire; sisters, Candice Eggleston of Cottage Grove, MN, Kim (Kirby) Clemetson of Ridgeland and Laurie Meyer of Ridgeland; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Marvin Meyer will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Chapel in Barron. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be at Vanceburg Cemetery in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
