In Memory of Marvin G. Studeman
Marvin Gustav Studeman, age 69, a resident of Webster, WI., passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Marvin was born on June 6, 1955 in Siren, WI., to parents Gus and Marcella (Doriott) Studeman.
As a young boy Marvin’s parents and siblings moved to Isabella, MN for a few years due to work reasons. Marvin had a lot of fond memories from those days. One of those memories was going with his father out to the woods to log the “old way” of logging with sleds and his dad’s 2 Belgian horses. Gus would set Marvin up on top of the horses where he could take a nap or what not. Marv would always include in this memory “them 2 girls (the horses) were the gentlest and nicest horses he had ever encountered. Gentle giants, but very hard-working girls.
At some point the family relocated back to Webster and Marvin continued school at Webster School district until he took on the occupation just as his father had as a logger full time.
Marvin met and married Roxanne Packard in 1975, into this union they welcomed 4 children, Lindsey, Christopher, Cassi and Cody. The two later on divorced in 2005.
For a few of Marvin’s younger years, he played on Lone Pine Tavern baseball league now known as Crow Bar. Marv enjoyed playing baseball with many of league consisting of mostly family members as well as former in-laws including his own father in-law. Good times is what Marv always said!
Marvin was an avid sportsman; deer hunting, bear hunting, fishing and everything in between, but his all-time favorite sport was duck hunting. Especially if it was alongside his children and grandkids. Marvin was more than happy to hand down his love of hunting and fishing to his children and grandchildren to carry on this tradition he so much loved.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Marcelia; brother, Vernon; sisters, Betty, Marylou and Marilyn; granddaughters, Charisse and Leah; and former father-in-law, Barney Packard.
