In Memory of Marvin Doubek
Marvin Elroy Doubek Age 86, of Stone Lake, WI died Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 29, 1932 in Wauwatosa, WI to Jerry and Marie (Krushat) Doubek. Marvin graduated from the Rib Lake High School in Rib Lake, WI and then entered the United States Army in 1951 and served during the Korean Conflict as a field Medic and was Honorably Discharged in 1953. Marvin was married to EmyLou Siroin on July 3, 1954 in Rib Lake, WI. He graduated with a degree in Physical Education at UW LaCrosse. Marvin was the drivers license examiner supervisor for the Department of Motor Vehicles and retired in 1991. Hunting, fishing, going to auctions and being outdoors enjoying life’s beauty.
He is survived by his wife, EmyLou Doubek of Stone Lake, WI; 4 children, Gary Doubek of Hudson, WI, Jerry (Deb) Doubek of ever changing, Teri Doubek (Barry Erickson) of Murdock, MN and Merrie (Brad) Becker of Buffalo, MN; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jill, Shanna and Michael; 3 great grandchildren, Jake, Ryan, Reise; a sister, June Doubek of Rib Lake, WI; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Marie Doubek; and 2 brothers, Jerome and Bob Doubek.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake where Military Rites will be accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 9-11AM Saturday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals. A celebration of life will be held at Paul’s Pizza Den in Birchwood, WI following the service.
