In Memory of Marlyn Etlicher


August 18, 1942 - March 20, 2021

Marlyn White Etlicher, 78, of Barron, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday March 20, 2021 at Our House Senior Living - Memory Care in Chippewa Falls.

Marlyn was born August, 18 1942 in Barron, to the late Henry and Marjorie (White) Etlicher.

He married Barbara Spielman on September 30, 1961 at Sacred Heart Church in Almena.  They have been married for 59 lovely years.

Marlyn was a proud dairy farmer for 42 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking his land, driving the 4 wheeler, and tending to his beloved barn cats.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him great joy and happiness.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his two children, a son, Douglas (Cindy) Etlicher of Chippewa Falls, and, a daughter, Kristen (Monte) Rinnman of Webster; his 5 grandchildren, Nicholas (Anna) Etlicher, Mitchell (Katlin) Etlicher, Aaron Rinnman, Adam Rinnman, and Aimee (Nate) Charbonneau; 6 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by 4 siblings, Karen Christopherson, Rochelle (Bob) Borgen, Gail David, and Vicki (Randy) Valley.

Marlyn is proceeded in death by his parents, Henry and Marjorie; his brother, Laurence; and baby sister, Cheryl.

A heartfelt thank you for the care and support of the Our House Memory Care staff.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rausch & Steel Funeral Home in Barron.  A private family funeral mass will be held.  Final resting place will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.
