Mark Steven Rieper Age 58, of Birchwood, WI, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Rice Lake, WI.

He was born on May 28, 1963 in Rice Lake to Paul and Barbara (Baumberger) Rieper.

Mark graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1981 and a few years later he entered the United States Army and was later Honorably Discharged. Mark was married to Lisa Kemp Tripp on September 19, 1998 in Birchwood. He owned and operated MR Floor Sanding for many years in Birchwood. Mark enjoyed feeding his hummingbirds, ice fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR racing, going roller skating, playing bean bags, enjoyed bowling and being outdoors. Mark was so handy he could fix anything and was the best family man.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Rieper; a daughter, Clarissa Rieper; a brother, Brian (Michelle) Rieper; 4 sisters, Kimberly Mussa, Tammie Moe, Lisa Rieper and Julie Rieper; 4 sisters-in-law, Pamela (Lee) Minnick, Juanita Kemp, Marie (John) Basty and Yvonne (Lon) Johnson; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Barbara Rieper; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kemp; 2 brothers-in-law, Mick Moe and Daryl Lanphere; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray J and Dorothy Kemp; 3 nieces, Becki Mussa, Janelle Rieper and Jessie Riedell.

Visitation will be held from 1-3PM Friday, May 13, 2022 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake with military rites accorded him by the Birchwood American Legion Post.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Birchwood American Legion Post from 4-6PM Friday, May 13. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
