In Memory of Mark J. Ulrich
Mark Jerome Ulrich, aged 70, passed away at home in Stone Lake, WI, on February 19th, 2025. The son of Frank and Rose Ulrich, North St. Paul, MN. Beloved husband of Terri (Kirkwold) Ulrich for 38 years.
Mark's lifelong career started at age 15 when he worked with Rollie Ulrich at Ulrich Tile. After graduating from North High School in North St. Paul, he joined the floor covering union, where he worked until he started his own business, North Suburban Tile and Interiors, in 1987. The business evolved over the years, including a retail store, new home construction, bath and kitchen remodeling, and building handicapped and accessible bathrooms.
As a person who took pride in his work, his family and the desire to be with them mattered most.
Upon retirement, Mark and Terri moved to Whitefish Lake in northern Wisconsin. Mark played pickleball, volunteered with the Stone Lake Lions Club, and socialized with the welcoming new community. Lake life was everything Mark hoped for and so much more.
Mark enjoyed sharing their lake home with family and friends for more than 20 years. Spending time and making lasting memories with cherished grandchildren was a true blessing.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Ulrich; children, Jason Ulrich of St. Paul, MN, Julie Holm of Plymouth, MN, Brett (Jenny) Ulrich of Kings Beach, CA, and Jessica (Mike Turner) Berhow of New Richmond, WI; his grandchildren, Francess, Rowen, Ben, Jacob, Willow, Cameron, Quentin, Paige, and Gabe; his mother Rose Ulrich of North St. Paul, MN; his siblings, Kathy (Jeff) Mrozinski of Lake Elmo, MN, Debbie (Kevin) Nickelson of North St. Paul, MN, Teresa (Jim Nethercut) DuFour of Oakdale, MN, Steve (Shonna) Ulrich of St. Paul, MN, and Sue (Dave) Peterson of Eagan, MN, and brother-in-law Jeff Dufour, North St. Paul, MN; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Ulrich, and his nephews, Michael Mrozinski and Adam Nickelson.
