Marion Gary Lindberg, age 69, a resident of Grantsburg, WI passed away on June 27, 2023 in Chippewa Falls, WI.

Marion was born on July 14, 1953 in Siren, WI to parents Andrew and Elsa Lindberg. Marion graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1971 then went to Lakeland Medical College for a lab tech for 1 year.

After college Marion worked at the Grantsburg Electric Company.

Marion enlisted in in the United States Army in 1972 and served his country until 1975 when he was honorably discharged. He than worked as a lab tech in Winterset, Iowa and Mora, Minnesota. After that Marion worked for Burnett Dairy as a maintenance worker.

In Marion’s free time he enjoyed bowling, being in the outdoors hunting and golfing with his friends. He was always up for a good trivia game.

Marion is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Andrea; brother, Duane; and sister-in-law, Sandy.

He is survived by siblings, Paul (Janet) Lindberg, Mary Jane (Arlen) Jensen and John Lindberg; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; along with many friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 12:00 PM at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI with Pastor John Addison officiating with Military Honors to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be William Norine, Rick Lindberg, Greg Lindberg, Rory Fish, Mitch Davidsavor, Scott Belanger and Bryce Jensen.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
