Marie L Hedican, age 80, of Spooner, WI, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner.

Marie was born on February 14, 1943, in LaMoure, ND, to parents, Stenen and Linda (Glaser) Downing and later adopted by her stepfather, Vernon “Pinky” Perrington.

Marie graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Lincoln, Nebraska. She later received her credentials to sell insurance and became an account manager for State Farm Insurance.  

Marie was incredibly kind and caring and loved to take care of others. She enjoyed cooking and could make any place feel like home.

Marie is survived by her significant other, Al Oehrlein; children, Bill Turnbull of Ajijic, Mexico, Allen Turnbull of Freemont, CA, and Debbie Smith of Phoenix, AZ; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and by her son Lance Letourneau.

The family will hold a private service with an interment at the Spooner Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
