In Memory of Margie Graber
Margie Kathleen Graber, 84, of Turtle Lake died Monday, April 15, 2019 at Amery Memory Care. She was born March 4, 1935 in Turtle Lake, WI to Edward and Mary (Young) Jansen. She graduated from Turtle Lake High School where she had met her sweetheart, Fredrick Graber. They were married in Turtle Lake, WI on November 20, 1953, and moved to the Graber family farm of which they would eventually assume operation. In addition to raising five children, she kept a tidy home and managed meals for large groups of field help during harvest time. Margie was very active at Zion Lutheran Church, including ladies aid and as a Sunday School teacher. She was an avid card player, enjoyed working with ceramics and belonged to the local homemakers group.
She is survived by her loving children: Debbie (the late Marc) Moe of Appleton, Guy Graber of Turtle Lake, John Graber of Turtle Lake, Annette (Scott) Burhop of Turtle Lake and Leann (Russ) Marske of Casa Grande, AZ; 17 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with another on the way; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Mary Ann Gores of Chetek and Dick (Carol) Jansen of Fridley, MN; her siblings-in-law: Alice Jansen, John Ludy and Lila Jansen; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Theresa Jansen, Marvin Jansen, Lucille Ludy and Bill Jansen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 22, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church - Turtle Lake with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dustin Schnell, Kate Graber, Jeremy Graber, Cody Burhop, Landon Burhop and Adam Leisz. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at the Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake and for 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
