In Memory of Margianne L. Kurshinsky
Margianne “Marge” L. Kurshinsky, age 93, of Barron passed away on Sunday, October 6 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Marge was born on October 31, 1930 in Humboldt, South Dakota to Lawrence and Louise (Sorensen) Putzke. They moved to Wisconsin in 1936 and lived north of Barron. She graduated from Barron High School.
She worked for Johnson’s Retinning (now Johnson Truck Bodies) in Rice Lake and later, she was the bookkeeper for Barron Hospital for over 30 years. After retirement, she, her daughter and granddaughter traveled to South Dakota, the North Shore, Gunflint Trail, to Iowa for the tulip fest in Pella and they also went to Country Fest for 4 years in a row.
Marge is survived by her daughter, Carol (Russ) Kallenbach of Chetek, granddaughter, Sara Kallenbach of Almena, great-granddaughters, Araidia and Celeste; sister-in-law, Beverly Putzke of Saint Augustine, FL; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold and Duane Putzke and sister, Helen Wells.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Chapel in Barron. A visitation will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A private burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.
Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
