In Memory of Margaret Nielsen
Margaret Louise Nielsen, a resident of Lawson Manor in Luck, Wisconsin, passed away on September 24th, 2021 at the age of 99.
She was born in Ellsworth, Wisconsin on September 5, 1922 to Robert and Florence Bartosh.
She was the oldest of seven children.
When Margaret left home, she went to work at Fansteel Metallurgical Corporation in Waukegan, Illinois. She met Robert Nelson Sr. in 1942 and they were married. Along came a son Robert Alan Nelson Jr. on September 26, 1950.
Later on, she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she was hired at Summit Manon Nursing Home. There she met Melvin Jense Nielsen. On November 27, 1970 they were married. She left Summit Manor and moved on to American Guidance where she worked on the assembly line. There she retired and moved to Webster to be with her sisters.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Nielson; parents, Robert and Florence Bartosh; 3 brothers, Alfred, Lloyd and Pete Bartosh; 2 sisters, Doris Whitcomb and Beatrice Yankis.
She is survived by her children, Robert Nelson Jr. and Susan Hughes; sister, Delores Lunsman; lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, David Hall.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM (visitation 10:00 – 11:00 AM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, Wisconsin with Pastor Steve Ward Officiating. Pallbearers will be Rodger Sommerfeld, Chuck Hughes, Allen Lunsman, Mark Nelson, John Nelson and Frank Peach. Interment will follow the service at Perida Cemetery in Lincoln Township, Wisconsin.
A special thank you to neighbors, friends, and relatives for the gifts of phone calls, cards, food, memorials, visits, and words of comfort and prayers. We also want to thank Pastor Steve Ward, Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, and Yellow River Saloon and Eatery for the nice lunch.
