Margaret Ann Beranek, age 93, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, April 5, 2025 in Rice Lake.

Margaret was born on April 12, 1931 in Rice Lake to Hubert and Hattie (Wigchers) Breyen. She graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1949 and then attended nursing school. She was married to Donald Beranek on September 25, 1951 in Rice Lake. Margaret and Donald dairy farmed in the township of Bear Lake for many years. She was a nurse's aide at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center for 18 years. She loved to do arts and crafts, garden, bake, cook, worked on crossword puzzles,and putting together puzzles. Margaret enjoyed having Sunday family dinners. Margaret was unselfish, never complained, very understanding, hard working, strong willed, and loved taking care of others before herself.

She is survived by 6 children, Breyen (Sue) Beranek, Elizabeth (Leo) Smith, Steven (Charmayne) Beranek, Kenneth (Betsy) Beranek, Mary Jo (Ron) Strand and Fred (Brenda) Beranek; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Taylor; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Beranek; a great granddaughter, Haeven Strand; a sister, Dorothy (John) Sindelar; a brother, Francis Breyen and her parents, Hubert and Hattie Breyen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Haugen, WI, Father Joseph Kumar officiating, with interment in the National Bohemian Cemetery in Haugen, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
